ABOUT KYLE ANDERSON
Kyle Anderson is a passionate educator with experience in a variety of settings, including high school social studies, educational technology coaching, middle school administration, middle and high school physical education, and special education. Kyle also coached for many years, working with student-athletes on the football field, the baseball diamond, and the volleyball court. In addition, Kyle helped organize a ski & snowboard club at one of his schools, sharing his love of the mountains and snow with his students in the desert.
Besides taking risks and trying new things with his students and colleagues, Kyle is passionate about many things. Kyle enjoys attending and presenting at educational conferences and sharing his knowledge and passion through his blog, Anderson EdTech, and two podcasts, The BeerEDU Podcast and The Podcast by Sons of Technology. Kyle loves to travel, seeing the national parks and hidden gems all over the United States, and hopes to eventually visit every Major League Baseball park. Kyle loves to read, especially biographies and books on historical events. He loves watching hockey, baseball, and college football and basketball. As a former athlete, he loves to be outdoors, whether it is camping, hiking, fishing, or biking. And Kyle loves music, especially classic rock, hard rock, metal, punk, and ska.
Kyle and his wife, Mary, have two children, Elsa and Reed, and live in Reno, Nevada, surrounded by the splendor of the high desert, the snowcapped Sierra Nevada, and nearby Lake Tahoe.
Kyle is a Google Certified Educator, Level 1 & 2, Google Certified Trainer, Pear Deck Certified Coach, Microsoft Innovative Educator, Edpuzzle Coach, Flipgrid Ambassador, Screencastify Genius, and Apple Teacher. He has presented at numerous regional and national events, including Fall CUE, Spring CUE, regional CUE affiliate events, and EdTech Team Google for Education Summits.
